Volunteer Programs

A butterfly on some flowers

The Mizzou Botanic Garden wishes to thank and recognize the volunteers now working to keep our grounds and plants beautiful.

Volunteers are needed occasionally to lend a hand on projects or special events, such as Garden-sponsored conferences, updating plant labels or helping on planting projects.

Volunteer with a Gardener

Through the season, three Master Gardeners work with our Landscape Gardener, in the Butterfly Garden at Eckles Hall. Besides admiring the many butterflies and large selection of plants that they like to feed on including many native shrubs and perennials the group keeps the grounds weed free and tidy.

Adopt-a Spot

Through the season, about once a week three Master Gardners meet at Reynolds Alumni Center and Cornell Hall to spruce up the gardens surrounding these areas including those around the Beetle Bailey statue.

Four times a year Cub Scout Pack 704 from Blue Ridge School in Columbia, Missouri walk the Bike Trail along Hinkson Creek cleaning up trash.
